Stopperknot was founded by Heather Ciszczon and John Ball in 2015. They were joined by Alisha McClain shortly thereafter.
Heather has 17 years experience across the design and construction industry, including leadership positions for building owners, design firms, and construction companies. She holds Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and Masters in Construction Management degrees from Arizona State University. She is currently President Elect for the local Southwest Chapter of the International Interior Design Association.
John has practiced architecture for over 30 years. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Drake University, a Masters of Architecture from the University of Oklahoma, and a PhD in Design, Environment, and the Arts from Arizona State University. He is a registered architect in Arizona, and has been licensed to practice in eight other western states and Hawaii. John has been a faculty associate in architecture, interiors, landscape architecture, and industrial design at Arizona State since 2006. His spring 2017 teaching assignments included the university-wide lecture hall course Design Awareness, and a seminar on design research methods for first-year PhD students.
Alisha has over 10 years experience in the delivery of luxury residential and hospitality interiors projects. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design from Harrington College of Design.
